Slim Line Knock Sensors For GEMS Transplant, And Morgan Or Land Rover V8i 4.0 Litre Models

When Transplanting GEMS V8 engines into other vehicles, you can often find that the exhaust manifolds run too close to or foul on the standard knock sensors. This makes it impossible to get the connectors onto the original sensors, or means that they are in danger of melting!

This can also be an issue in vehicles already equipped with a GEMS managed engine, when changing from the original Cast Iron exhaust manifolds to a tubular type instead. It is a common issue for the Morgan Plus Eight, and the Land Rover Defender V8i.

The solution for this is to change to a sensor for a type that lies flat against the engine, with a similar body to the later Thor V8 engines.
