Rover V8 Motronic THOR ECU for stand alone running to allow engine transplant. These units also work well in the original Discovery 2 or P38 Range Rover vehicles, where no immobiliser is required.
This is a Bosch Motronic ECM that has been re-engineered at Tornado HQ to allow the later rover V8 THOR engines to be run outside of the vehicle .
The ECM is supplied with the required map to suit your engine this can be 4.0 , 4.6 , 4.8 and 5.0 Litre. The correct vehicle VIN and build date is embedded in the unit, so that all information is correct when scanned via the OBD2 port. There are over 150 versions of software for the Discovery 2, and more than 50 for the P38 Range Rover, so it is important to use the correct one to suit the choice of gearbox, number of Oxygen sensors, type of Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, etc.
We are also able to supply wiring information to retain the standard loom, which has proven very reliable in operation.
Some ECMs can be taken in exchange which will reduce the cost by £60, but please us before placing an order.
